This song was originally acoustic, as you hear it here. (Note the electric version on this album.) I was experimenting with using the bass-slap technique on my acoustic guitar and I really like the funky sound that this song has acoustically. Also, having the acoustic play the main part leaves a lot of room for the electric to play with. Since it is a pretty funky song the wah is a natural choice for effect on the electric. The solo on here is ok, but the very best solo that there ever was happened totally on accident. My long lost Australian buddy Dean and I were in a talent show at school. We lost of course because people who play weird music like this at talent shows lose. However, at the end of the song Dean was to solo...something went wrong with his sense of the fret-board and he was on the wrong strings. He panicked and played all of this weird stuff. It sounded great! But since that's not here for you to listen to I guess I'll shut up about it. Suffice it to say that the solo here pales by comparison. I mentioned that this song was originally acoustic, however when we played it live we generally played it electric. We had an image to uphold! LOL I guess.

Everything written and performed by JC Simonsen, except the drums which were both written and performed by Rob Willardson. They were actually recorded on the spot one evening in the Snow College music building. Rob had never heard the song before. That building has been torn down so the acoustics you hear are not reproducable. Isn't that neat.
