like a puzzle i am fitting all the pieces of your mind i can almost see the secrets that you hide inside though no one can really read you i can see that i am close even closer than you know we walk together to the edges of the oceans of truth holding hands together we will dive together to the edge of the end of the world and together we will fly all the world will love you if they look deep in your eyes but if you stare back at them then you might expose the liars it must be said a million times that heart and soul are fires but will they consume us all as our noble race expires WHAT A PERFECT DAY TO BE ALIVE I SEE IT ALL SO CLEAR INSIDE WITH MY CRYSTAL BALL WHAT A PERFECT DAY TO SEE THE SUN UP IN THE SKY WITH MY CRYSTAL BALL i'd like to think that maybe i could put my faith in you so look me in the eyes my love and tell me what you see for all i've seen and all i've done life hasn't taught me truth but what you believe can be a truth won't you believe in me
I confess to wantonly mixing many ill-matched musical styles from my eclectic repertoire in this song. And it was fun too. Lyrically another mixed-up combination of frustration and hope. It's a very good thing that the light of hope never seems to get blown out. I'm grateful that my life eventually fell together and although I could not see through the crystal ball, I know that the sun is up in the sky and the friends and family I have around me today do believe in me. The weeds have been pulled and my garden is indeed a beautiful one. This song was written on the cusp of marriage, and the metaphor of the cliff-dive into the ocean of truth is thus probably now clear. It was a leap of faith, and one that turned out just fine.
