I confess to wantonly mixing many ill-matched musical styles from my eclectic repertoire in this song. And it was fun too. Lyrically another mixed-up combination of frustration and hope. It's a very good thing that the light of hope never seems to get blown out. I'm grateful that my life eventually fell together and although I could not see through the crystal ball, I know that the sun is up in the sky and the friends and family I have around me today do believe in me. The weeds have been pulled and my garden is indeed a beautiful one. This song was written on the cusp of marriage, and the metaphor of the cliff-dive into the ocean of truth is thus probably now clear. It was a leap of faith, and one that turned out just fine.
