Covert Oscillations

This song "happened" one day when myself and James Taylor (aka Hames Jetfield) were playing music in my basement. I was playing drums and James was playing Bass. Actually, since you ask, NO it was not THE James Taylor. Unless of course you think my friend James Taylor is THE James Taylor in your book. In that case I guess...yeah THE James Taylor. Anyway, we thought what we were doing was pretty cool so we recorded it. Later I went in and overdubbed some electric guitar and stuff. It had a fast, punky feel. When I came back to redo it I decided not to keep the electric/punk sound. Instead I did it all acoustic and went more basic. Where originally it was reminiscent of the Offspring (Dirty Magic), the acoustic version seems more akin to something by the Ventures, the Safaris (wipeout) or "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers from the 60's. Sometimes I name my songs because of the images or feelings they give me. Just be thankful that "evil clowns in the dark" got renamed before it hit the shelves!
